I used to be an aircraft engineer, worked in what was Salisbury and at DF Malan back in the 1970s. The above photograph of the Avex aircraft was taken when I worked for Cape Aero Services in 1976. The aircraft came into Cape Aero Services because the crew reported strange noises coming from the wing/spar attachment points. Nothing found.
