The Douglas DC-2 and DC-3 in service in South Africa
Research has established that 162 Douglas DC-3/C-47 aircraft have been registered in South Africa in either Civil or SAAF service.
They are listed in the table below by construction number.

There were two Douglas DC-2 aircraft operated in South Africa, C/N 1322 ZS-DFW and C/N 1332 ZS-DFX both operated by Phoenix Airlines.
The following non South African DC-3/C-47 airframes are preserved in South Africa.
